At a point near Nyombe - a few kilometers from Douala, in Cameroon - we cross a proud plantation in the village of Penja.
The so-named Penja Plantation was created at the beginning of the last century by the grandfather of François Caplain.
In time this small land holding grew from strengh to strengh, with traditional fruits culture turning to tropical flowers and exotic foliage production.
Indeed, the Penja company is now recognised as a truly international business.
At the beginning of the eighties the two associates Jean-Yves François and Jean-Philippe Landrieu created the 'Compagnie des Palmes',
a result of a common passion for tropical flowers and traditional culture.
